Great North 10k Run On Sunday 12th July 2009 I ran the Great North Run 10k to raise money for the Animal Health Trust to research into SRM (Meningitis in Beagles). This awful disease claimed the life of my beautiful boy Murphy. Photographs of the run are below. |

I was invited down to visit the Animal Health Trust on 10th February 2010 to make the presentation of my sponsorship money. I had an a fantastic day and met some incredibly nice people. The work that that is carried out there is ground breaking and the treatment that the animals receive in their care is first class. The final amount raised was £3200 (plus gift aid). I'm pictured below with Andrew Simmonds (Head of PR) and Dr Catherine Mellersh who is the head scientist that is researching into SRM in Beagles. I would like to thank everyone who sponsored me and am delighted to say that the final amount raised was £3200!!!
